Tabletop

Something that belongs in the room even when no one is playing.

The colors begin to talk to one another. The walnut grounds the palette. The acrylic catches light. The mat creates the field. The tiles provide the detail.

It is no longer something you hide in a cabinet until Thursday night. It is something you want to leave out.
